Is it possible to obtain finance in Fiji?
To facilitate the purchase of property in Fiji, it may be easier to obtain finance in your own country. It is possible, however, to apply for finance within the Fiji Islands and there a number of banks and finance companies. Conditions apply, and obtaining finance depends on individual applications.

In some instances, vendor finance is sometimes available.

We have a pet we wish to bring with us. What, if any, are the quarantine arrangements in Fiji?

Our two children will require schooling in Fiji. Could you tell us about the education systems available.
A large number of non-government and government schools provide primary and secondary education. The system is based on the New Zealand curriculum, which until 1989 allowed students to sit for New Zealand high school exams. There is now a Fiji School Certificate System. An international school operates in Suva, catering to local and overseas students up to Form 7.

Tertiary education is provided in Suva at the regional University of the South Pacific, the Fiji School of Medicine, the Fiji School of Agriculture, School of Maritime Studies, as well as 3 teacher training colleges. Technical training is available at the Fiji Institute of Technology, while short courses are run by the Fiji National Training Council.
