The main centre for tourism in the Lomaiviti Group is Ovalau, but it is mainly known for its ecotourism and colonial history (it used to be the capital of Suva) and does not have any particularly good beaches. Close to Ovalau are the small sandy coral islands of Caqelai and Leleuvia. They have attractive beaches and you can walk around each island in about 10 minutes. Further out are other much bigger islands with good beaches. Not all have accommodation, but those that do include Wakaya Island (pristine white beaches that may be enjoyed by guests staying at the prestigious Wakaya Island Resort), Gau and Koro.
